Questions
Can I download Trovery yet?
Yes — Trovery is in open beta on Android. Join the test on Google Play and it installs like any other app, no invite needed. It also runs in your browser at app.mytrovery.com — sign in with Google. An iOS version comes later; leave your email below for launch updates.
What's expected of a beta tester?
Use it for a couple of weeks the way you'd use any app you'd saved things in, and tell us what's broken or confusing. You'll need an Android phone, or you can just open it in a browser at app.mytrovery.com.
Do I need an account?
Yes — a free account takes a few seconds to set up, and it means your lists are backed up and ready to go if you switch phones.
Is Trovery free?
Yes, the free tier is genuinely free — up to 3 lists with 20 saves each, forever. A paid Pro tier (unlimited lists, unlimited bulk add, and more) is coming soon.
Is my data used to train anything?
No. Categorisation runs through Trovery's own server, not a third party — your saves are never used to train models or sold to anyone. The privacy policy lists every service a save can touch.
Do I have to use AI?
No. Every save method in Trovery is opt-in — Manual entry lets you type in the title, notes, and details yourself and attach your own photo, with no AI involved at all. AI just handles the rest (reading photos, pulling in links, splitting out text) for people who want the shortcut.
How is this different from Pinterest or a notes app?
Pinterest is other people's photos of ideas; Trovery is the actual thing you saved — your screenshot, your photo, your link. And unlike a board, when you actually go, watch, or read something, you mark it done — so over time you've got a record of what you followed through on, not just a pile of things you meant to.
What if my photo isn't great, or I don't have one?
You can ask Trovery to suggest one — it finds real images already out there (the actual book cover, the venue's real photo) for you to pick from. Or upload your own from your camera roll. Your original stays saved too, so you can switch back any time.
